How it works
The workflow, end to end
This is the intended workflow as specified. Nothing here is running yet.
Step 01
Occupancy is kept current
Badge events and desk bookings feed a live occupancy count for each building and floor, so the expected roll is always the most recent record rather than a printed list.
Step 02
An evacuation or drill begins
The site switches into muster mode. The last known occupancy record is frozen as the roll to account for, and the emergency contact and role directory for that site is put in front of the people running the evacuation.
Step 03
People check in at the muster point
Fire wardens and evacuees record arrival digitally at the muster point. The count of people accounted for rises against the frozen roll as check-ins come in.
Step 04
Anyone unaccounted for is flagged
Names on the frozen roll without a check-in are flagged as missing, with their last known building and floor, so search effort goes to a specific place rather than the whole site.
Step 05
The drill is logged as evidence
Scheduled drills and their completion, timings and outcomes are logged and retained as compliance evidence for the site.
